(June 22, 2008) -- George Howard Racing wants to apologize for
jumping the gun on Saturday’s race.
George was watching the local weather, and the weatherman said bad
storms were coming in. He wanted to make sure everyone got home
safely. Normally he doesn’t watch the local station, and this is
why.
He is sorry for calling it so early. Because we do not award show up
points until the beginning of the race, no one will receive show up
points. It would be unfair to award some show up points and not all
for those that were on their way when we called it or getting ready
to head out when we called it.
Again, we are sorry for any inconveniences and are trying to keep it
fair for everyone.
